Wright Media LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Truckr mobile application and the truckr.com website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: phone number, handle (username), display name, ZIP code, CDL status, years of driving experience, and age verification.
• Profile content: profile picture, header image, and bio.
• User-generated content: posts, replies, likes, reposts, bookmarks, direct messages, and GIF selections.
• Reports: reports you submit about other users' content.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device information: device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
• Usage data: how you interact with the Service, including timestamps, feature usage, and approximate location if you grant permission.
• Location data: if you grant permission, we use your location to show nearby posts and drivers. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.
• Push notification tokens: used to send direct message notifications to your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• Verify your identity via SMS verification codes (powered by Twilio).
• Enable social features such as posts, replies, direct messaging, and nearby feeds.
• Send push notifications for direct messages.
• Moderate content for safety (including automated image scanning via AWS Rekognition).
• Respond to user reports and enforce our Terms of Service.
• Improve and analyze the Service.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Publicly visible content: your handle, display name, profile picture, posts, and engagement are visible to other users of the Service.
• Service providers: we share limited information with Supabase (backend database and storage), Twilio (SMS verification), AWS (image moderation), Giphy (GIF search), and Expo (push notifications).
• Legal compliance: when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account (see Section 7), we will delete or anonymize your personal information except where retention is required for legal or security purposes.

5. Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

6. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and correction: you can access and edit your profile information directly in the app.
• Location: you can revoke location permission in your device settings at any time.
• Push notifications: you can disable push notifications in your device settings.
• Blocking users: you can block other users to prevent them from contacting you or appearing in your feed.
• Reporting: you can report objectionable content or users from within the app.

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete Account). Account deletion will:

• Mark your profile as deleted and remove it from public view.
• Disable your ability to sign in.
• Free up your phone number so you can re-register later if you choose.
• Remove your push notification tokens.

Content you have shared publicly (posts, replies) may remain visible in aggregated or anonymized form but will no longer be associated with an active profile. If you need further assistance with account deletion, email us at developer@wrightmediacorp.com.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, through in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
